High-speed, multi-county chase ends in Lexington
LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – A suspect police say led them on a multi-county chase is in custody after officers threw out spike strips, stopping his car.
Kentucky State Police say it started in Laurel County on Interstate 75 when a trooper spotted a car driving erratically and tried to pull the driver over.
The driver took off, leading authorities on a chase through Rockcastle and Madison counties.
It stopped at mile marker 114 in Lexington after spike strips were placed on the interstate, disabling the driver’s car.
Troopers say traffic was cleared during the chase.
The driver, identified as 23-year-old Dhameer J. Folie-Jackson of Matterson, Illinois, was arrested without incident.
While searching the vehicle, police say they found what appeared to be fraudulent credit cards and a skimming device.
