HEROIN: A parent’s loss
NICHOLASVILLE, Ky. (WTVQ) – Walt and Debbie Rains lost their son Zac to a drug addiction.
He overdosed and died July 5, 2015. Nearly two years later, his parents say the pain is still hard.
“There is a stigma about your loved one being on drugs or being involved in drugs so we relatively kept it quiet,” said Debbie Rains. “Now looking back, I say I should have been a little more vocal because I’ve found so many families that have been touched by this.”
They share their story to help other family members who might be going through a similar situation.
