Help for the homeless in Lexington during the dangerous cold
LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – The City of Lexington wants to make sure no one is left out in the cold with overnight temperatures expected below zero after a record 17.1 inches of snow.
To report someone you fear is not in a shelter or does not have heat, call 859-258-3600.
People who need help getting out of the cold should call 859-258-3600. Citizens can call 2-1-1 if they need to find shelter or other assistance.
In other winter weather-related news:
- The regular meeting of the Urban County Council was cancelled for Thursday
- There will be no city garbage pickup on Friday. Weather permitting, people who usually have their trash picked-up on Thursdays or Fridays, will be picked-up on Saturday, March 7.
