Heavy rain Saturday caused flooding in some Eastern KY counties

ESTILL COUNTY, Ky. (WTVQ) – Saturday rains left some parts of Estill County heavily flooded.

These are pictures of some areas in Irvine in Estill County.

Streets were flooded and not passable, though some cars attempted to drive through it.

People on Facebook commenting that some homes in that area also had some water get inside their home.

In Floyd County, heavy rain resulted in some roadways down to one lane because of water on them.

The Floyd County Sheriff’s Department also reporting that multiple trees and power lines were down Saturday, causing around 100 people to lose power.
