Heads up! Daylight Saving Time approaches this weekend
Begins Sunday at 2:00 AM
LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – It’s that time of year when two sides collide over the time change to Daylight Saving Time.
For some, the thought of extra daylight in the evening is welcome, with extra time to devote to outdoor activities, or just enjoying the sunshine.
But, others dread losing that hour of sleep, when the time jumps ahead one hour early Sunday morning.
Until congressional legislation is passed one way or the other, we will continue to Spring Forward (Sunday, March 10) and Fall Back (Sunday, November 3).
Since the change to DST begins at 2:00 am this Sunday, it’s recommended you set your clocks ahead one hour before going to bed Saturday night.
Officials say it’s also a great idea to use this time to change the batteries in your smoke detectors, making sure they are in working order.
