Before heading to the polls have proper identification
LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – Before heading out to the polls Tuesday make sure to have the proper identification required to vote.
Acceptable types of I-D are:
- a personal acquaintance of a precinct officer
- a driver’s license
- social security card
- a county issued I-D card approved by the state board of elections
- a U.S. government issues I-D card with picture
- a credit card
- another form of I-D with a picture and signature
Polls will open from 6 a.m. local time until 6 p.m.
Anyone in line before 6 p.m. will be allowed to vote.
