Head-On Crash in Laurel County Sends 5 To Hospital
Five people were airlifted to the hospital following a head-on collision in Laurel county Wednesday.
Crews responded to the two-car crash at 7:51 p.m. on Kentucky 80.
According to the Bush Fire Department, there were two people in one vehicle and three in the other – a woman and a 12-year-old and a 16-year-old.
All five had to be cut from the vehicles, according to firefighters.
Four of the victims were airlifted by helicopter and the other was flown by plane. All went to the University of Kentucky hospital.
According to firefighters, the injuries ranged from serious to life-threatening.
Slick roads are being blamed for the accident.
