Hazard PD: DUI, drug charges for driver who hit KYTC truck
HAZARD, Ky. (WTVQ) – A woman has been charged with multiple traffic and drug charges after being injured in an accident on Dawahare Drive.
According to officers, 28-year-old Savannah Napier was turning left from Independence Drive onto Dawahare Drive in front of another car. Police say she traveled down a hill, and then crossed the center line and hit a Kentucky Department of Transportation truck head-on.
Officers say when they got Napier out of her car, they found a marijuana joint in her seat. Additionally, police say they found a baggie of methamphetamine on Napier.

Napier was taken to Hazard ARH Hospital for treatment, and was cited on several traffic charges, as well as DUI, and possession charges.
The driver of the truck refused medical treatment at the scene.
