Hart County man charged with child sex offenses

HORSE CAVE, Ky. (WTVQ) — Kentucky State Police arrest a Hart County man, accusing him of trying to meet what he thought was a minor for sex.

Police say detectives began investigating 25-year-old Steven “Devontae” Rhodes after discovering he was communicating with juveniles online.

He was arrested Monday and charged with prohibited use of an electronic communication system to procure a minor/peace officer regarding sex offense.

Detectives searched his home in Horse Cave and seized equipment they say was used to commit the crime.

The investigation is ongoing.
