Hall of Fame trainer Lukas appearing in Louisville

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (AP) — Hall of Fame thoroughbred trainer D. Wayne Lukas is in Louisville this week for an appearance a few blocks away from Churchill Downs.

Lukas will be at the University of Louisville for the Conversations With Champions series at the College of Business on Tuesday.

Journalist, author and adjunct faculty member Billy Reed will moderate the program, which begins at 7 p.m. EST at Horn Auditorium on the Belknap Campus.

Horses trained by Lukas have won the Kentucky Derby four times, the Preakness Stakes six times and the Belmont Stakes four times and amassed more than $100 million in winnings.

The event is free, but reservations are required at http://uoflconversationswithchampions.com/tickets.php . Free parking is available in the lot between the College of Business and School of Music.
