Half the entrants in Kentucky Derby sold at Keeneland

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – Eleven graduates of Keeneland sales, led by undefeated champion Nyquist, are among the 22 horses entered in Saturday’s 142^nd running of the Kentucky Derby.

Nyquist is the 3-1 morning-line favorite for the race.

Keeneland has sold 19 Kentucky Derby winners, most recently 2012 winner I’ll Have Another. In the remaining Triple Crown competition, Keeneland sales graduates have accounted for 21 Preakness (G1) victories and 18 Belmont (G1) wins.
