Guns stolen out of Lexington Police SUV

NICHOLASVILLE, Ky. (WTVQ) – Guns and other police equipment were stolen out of a unmarked Lexington police SUV early Monday morning.

Nicholasville Police were called to the Lexington Police officer’s home on Autumn Hills Way after the officer called and told police his unmarked vehicle had been broken into.

Nicholasville Police say one of the officer’s family members was letting the dogs out around 4:00 a.m. and saw two people inside the unmarked SUV. The family member yelled for the officer, and the two subjects ran off carrying the stolen equipment.

The only description given was two male subjects wearing black sweatshirts. One subject appeared to be African American and was wearing shorts.
