Guilty plea in Jessamine County murder case
JESSAMINE COUNTY, Ky. (WTVQ) – A man accused of being involved in the murder of a Jessamine County man has pleaded guilty.
David Peel was charged with murder in the death of 45-year-old Mark Dunn, whose body was found inside a burned truck in 2008.
An autopsy revealed he had been shot before the truck was set on fire.
Peel pleaded guilty to manslaughter – dropped down from murder – in Jessamine County on Tuesday.
He is scheduled to be sentenced next month.
The attorney general’s office says it will be recommending a 20-year sentence.
Another man, Odis Henson, pleaded guilty in 2015 to arson and evidence tampering in connection to the case.
