Guidance for Lexington healthcare workers on COVID-19 vaccination
LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – The Lexington-Fayette County Health Department has issued guidance for healthcare workers regarding the COVID-19 vaccine distribution.
According to health officials, the department continues to follow federal and state guidelines regarding distribution for Phase 1A.
The department is working with Lexington’s medical, dental, pharmacy and other healthcare organizations to provide the Moderna COVID-19 vaccine. The clinics are currently limited to:
- Providers/staff from Lexington practices who have not registered to receive doses of the vaccine; AND
- Providers/staff who are not expected to receive vaccine through their employer or as hospital staff; AND
- Providers/staff who have direct patient interface.
According to the health department, if you are part of those categories, you can receive notifications about future clinics by providing information HERE. This does not register you for future clinics.
The department says there are no current plans for public vaccination clinics.
