Ground broken on new fire station in Pike County

PIKE COUNTY, Ky. (WTVQ) – With the help of a $37,500 U.S. Department of Agriculture rural development grant, improvements are under way on a fire station in Virgie, Ky., in rural southwestern Pike County.

Ground was broken Friday in a ceremony attended by U.S. Rep. Hal Rogers and state and local officials.

This grant was made through the Community Facilities Program with funding included in the Additional Supplemental Appropriations for Disaster Relief Act signed into law on June 6, 2019.
