Greenhouse 17 launches Children’s Safe Exchange & Visitation Program in Lexington
LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ)- Nurturing lives from intimate partner abuse in families and the community is one of the main goals for Greenhouse 17.
The organization is launching “The Children’s Safe Exchange and Visitation Program”, this morning at 10:30 a.m. during a ribbon-cutting and dedication ceremony on the lower-level of Parkside Apartments at 1060 Cross Keys Road.
Greenhouse 17 will gather with survivors and community partners to celebrate this special cause.
They say they assumed responsibility for the delivery of safe exchange and monitored visitation after the closure of Sunflower Kids on March 1st.
Since then, they say funding and partnerships were forged to continue these community services.
Lexington Vice Mayor Steve Kay will speak during the ribbon-cutting ceremony along with other representatives from the city.
Once the ceremony concludes, the program’s offices will offer open public tours for residents who are interested.
