Great American Brass Band Festival

It’s a marathon opportunity to stomp your feet and and move to the music, as Leigh and Grey Jefferson tell Katie Solove about the upcoming Great American Brass Band Festival, set to kick off on June 1st!

The Great American Brass Band Festival is a free four-day event featuring live brass music, a Thursday night crafted bourbon and croquet event, an Americana style Parade, Saturday night picnic, free children’s activities, a Swing Dance, Yoga in the Park, a 5 K run, and New Orleans’ style all day street party on Friday.   The Festival is in its 28th year and with each year it continues to grow its presence and continues to celebrate brass music and culture.

This year marks the return of the Great American Art Festival, featuring local and national artists and a Kids Art Fest. This brass and art event is the perfect way to enjoy a summer weekend and it’s all FREE and family friendly.

Everyone is invited to come take in all the events while enjoying a variety of eats and treats in the Food Village.

The festival runs from Thursday, June 1st – 4th at Centre College, located at 600 W. Walnut Street in Danville
