Grant County receives $662,500 for road repairs

COVINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – Grant County received $662,500 from the state for resurfacing work on Stone School House, Lincoln Ridge, Baton Rouge Road and Elliston-Napoleon Roads.

Grant County Judge-Executive Chuck Dills identified the roads as being among the most critical in the county.

Projects submitted to the Department of Rural and Municipal Aid for discretionary fund consideration were evaluated by the KYTC district staff to assess the condition of roads and determine the most critical needs based on factors such as safety, economic impact, and traffic volumes.

The Grant County Fiscal Court is responsible for administering the work and KYTC will reimburse the county for the projects.

Resurfacing work will address:

  • Stone School House (CR 1116) from milepoint 0 to milepoint 2.9
  • Lincoln Ridge Road (CR 1148) from milepoint 0 to milepoint 3.9
  • Baton Rouge Road (CR 1100) from milepoint 0 to milepoint 4
  • Elliston-Napoleon Road (CR 1314) from milepoint 0 to milepoint 3
