Grandmother Of Kentucky’s Secretary Of State Dies

The grandmother of Kentucky’s secretary of state, who appeared in one of her campaign ads last fall, is dead at the age of 92.

Alison Lundergran-Grimes’ paternal grandmother, Thelma Lundergan-McHugh, passed away peacefully Thursday at her home in Jessamine County.

McHugh’s face became very familiar during Grimes’ campaign for the office of secretary of state, making television commercials last fall and encouraging voters alongside Elsie Case, Grimes’ maternal grandmother.
