Grandmother Charged with Perjury

A woman who had already been charged with tying up her 3-year-old granddaughter had perjury charges added to her record on Friday.

Officials said Carolyn Case lied about her income to get a public attorney, paid for with taxpayer dollars.

Court documents said she was indicted on first-degree perjury by an Anderson Grand Jury.

She was booked in the Shelby County Detention Center.
