Grand opening announced for Beaver Dam Rest Area

FRANKFORT, Ky. (WTVQ) – After months of construction, the Beaver Dam Rest Area is set to have a grand opening this week.

The grand opening is set for 2 PM CST on Friday, March 16.

The rest area is referred to as an updated and modern oasis for travelers driving through the Western Kentucky Parkway.

The facility will be open 24/7/365 and provide travelers with fresh food including Godfather’s Pizza, HUCKS Famous Fried Chicken, Grill Zone, and other favorites.

The convenience rest area will operate under the HUCKS brand name by Martin and Bayley, Inc., of Carmi, Illinois.

The company operates more than 120 convenience stores in a five state area.

Martin and Baylet, Inc. have a 20-year contract with the Commonwealth to operate and maintain the rest area.

The Beaver Dam Rest Area is the only commercial rest area in Kentucky.
