Governor’s Downtown Derby Celebration

FRANKFORT, Ky. (WTVQ)- Governor Matt Bevin and First Lady Glenna Bevin hosted hundreds Saturday at the Governor’s Downtown Derby Celebration in Frankfort.

The free event featured live music, children’s activities, and competitions.

The Governor’s Derby was also the official starter for the YMCA Derby Dash for youth on Broadway Street.

Other favorites included an adult tricycle race, hat making with the Kentucky Historical Society and stick horse races on the old capitol lawn!!!

Guests of all ages seemed to have fun.
