Governor Signs Off On Redistricting Plan After $300,000 Special Session

After five days and $300,000 in taxpayers money, Kentucky lawmakers Friday passed a redistricting plan for the state.

It took a special session to get it done.

The plan redraws legislative district boundaries.

And unlike past plans, this one has bipartisan support.

Governor Beshear signed it into law Friday.

The measure still needs to be reviewed by a group of federal judges.

The State Supreme Court last year overturned a redistricting measure passed by the Legislature.
