Governor Beshear on deputies shot in the line of duty
FRANKFORT, Ky. (ABC36 NEWS NOW) – Governor Andy Beshear is offering prayers for two Boone County deputies who were shot during a standoff Thursday night.
“Britainy and I are praying for the two Boone County Sheriff’s deputies who were shot last night while on duty,” Beshear said in a statement Friday. “Please join us in praying for their full recovery. Thank you to every member of law enforcement and every first responder who worked to protect the Walton community last night.”
Both deputies are reported to be stable and recovering after being taken to UC Medical Center.
