UPDATE: Golden alert cancelled for Georgetown woman

Georgetown police have cancelled a Golden Alert for Peggy Jo Whitlock.

Police say she has been found safe.

GEORGETOWN, Ky. (WTVQ)- Georgetown Police have issued a golden alert for a missing woman who they say suffers from several mental status issues that require medication she may or may not have with her.

Police say 54-year-old Peggy Jo Whitlock was last seen on April 15th at Comp Care in Georgetown.

She was last seen wearing black pants and possibly carrying a pink, black, and white backpack. She wears two necklaces, one that says “hope” and the other has a key on it.

She is described as 5’4″, 115 pounds, blue eyes and brown hair.

Police say she might be very confused and scared if she is approached.
