UPDATE: Missing Lexington man found safe in North Carolina

LEXINGTON, Ky. – A missing 29-year-old Lexington man has been found safe in North Carolina, according to Lexington Police.

The department did not provide details about how he got to North Carolina.

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – Lexington Police issued a ‘Golden Alert’ on Monday night for 29-year old Jonathan Patterson, of Lexington.

Investigators say Patterson was last seen Saturday morning, July 11, 2020, when he left his home in the area of Greendale Road and Spurr Road.

Police say he has limited cognitive ability and may not understand when he’s in danger.

He has dark hair, a full beard and is approximately 5’7″ and 190-pounds.  He was last seen wearing a red jacket.

Police say Patterson has family in Mercer and Jessamine counties.

Anyone with information about his whereabouts is asked to call 9-1-1.
