GoFundMe raises over $10,000 for Lexington boy who drowned at Richmond pool
FAYETTE COUNTY, Ky. (ABC36 NEWS NOW) — A GoFundMe campaign has been launched to help cover funeral expenses for 7-year-old Santino Montreal Yancey-Hardwick, a Lexington child who died in a suspected drowning at a Richmond pool on Monday.
According to Richmond officials, the incident happened at Paradise Cove Aquatic Center, which remains closed pending the outcome of an ongoing investigation.
As of Wednesday, the fundraiser has collected more than $9,000 in donations from the community.
Police are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding the child’s death.
Meanwhile, Lexington attorney Justin Peterson, of Peterson Law Office, tells ABC 36 News Now he is representing the boy’s family as the investigation moves forward.
