GoFundMe established for crash victim

LEXINGTON, Ky. (ABC36 NEWS NOW) – The Lexington community is coming together to support the family of Derald Johnson, a 61-year-old man who passed away from his injuries following a crash involving his moped and a car.

According to the Fayette County Coroner, Johnson died on Monday due to injuries sustained in the accident. Police say the crash occurred on August 12th near North Broadway and North Broadway Park. Johnson was taken to a hospital but, unfortunately, did not survive.

In an effort to help Johnson’s family with the costs of his cremation and funeral, a GoFundMe account has been created. So far, the fundraiser has raised more than $600.
