gofundme account established for 6-year-old stabbing victim

VERSAILLES, Ky. (WTVQ) – A gofundme account has been established to help offset funeral expenses for a Versailles family who’s 6-year-old child was stabbed to death early Monday morning during a burglary attempt.

Officers say a homeowner called them just after 4:00 a.m. about a burglar who was discovered in the home. Police say that during a struggle between the homeowner and the burglar, the child was stabbed in the head multiple times.

The Woodford Co. coroner identified the boy as Logan Tipton.  He was pronounced dead at 5:00 a.m.

A friend of the family set up the gofundme account to raise money for Tipton’s funeral.  According to the gofundme page, the funds will also help pay for temporary housing as the other children in the family do not wish to enter the house again.

People who wish to help can donate to the gofundme page by clicking here, or by taking a donation to the Kentucky Bank in Versailles where a benefit account is being established.
