God’s Pantry To Receive 2 Years Of Service From Child Hunger Corps Member
The Food Bank was selected for this grant through a competitive national application process and is one of six food banks in the Feeding America national network to receive this grant funding from the ConAgra Foods Foundation.
Mya Price assumed her post on August 28, 2013.
During her tenure at God’s Pantry Food Bank, Price will assess and develop the food bank’s capacity to execute programs targeted toward the alleviation of child hunger.
She will receive training in program development, which includes community needs assessment and analysis, implementation or expansion of child feeding programs in underserved areas and program evaluation.
She will also develop valuable skills and knowledge in program design and project management and gain professional experience in the nonprofit sector by developing an understanding of hunger in America and food banks’ vital role in fighting child hunger.
