On GMA Tomorrow: Kentucky woman involved in Florida roller coaster crash describes the moment it happened
LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ)- For the first time we’re hearing from one of the Kentuckians stuck on the roller coaster that derailed Thursday night in Florida.
Two people from Knott County were in Daytona Beach for business.
They fell 34 feet to the ground when the Sandblaster Coaster on the boardwalk slipped off its tracks.
Several other people behind them were stranded and had to be rescued.
ABC New’s Victor Oquendo spoke to Amanda Bostic who was on the ride about what happened.
“What’s the last thing you remember before the ride derailed?” said Oquendo.
“I remember hearing a lot of screeching, a lot of metallic a lot of sounds that just weren’t right. I closed my eyes I held on and I remember being air borne feeling as if I was falling and then the next thing I remember was coming to on the ground looking up,” said Amanda Bostic, who was on the coaster at the time of the crash.
Oqunedo will be live on Good Morning America Monday morning with more from his interview with Bostic.
