Glove worn by Prince during Rupp concert auctions for $26,000+

LOS ANGELES, CA. (WTVQ) – A glove worn by Prince during a concert in Lexington for his 1984 Purple Rain tour sold Thursday night for $26,121.

Nate D. Sanders Auctions sold the white lace glove adorned with rhinestones Prince wore during his concert at Rupp Arena in Lexington, Kentucky on December 15, 1984.

After his performance, Prince threw the glove into the audience but it fell into the lighting scaffolding below.

Nate D. Sanders Auctions says a Rupp Arena contractor found the glove after the show.

Bidding for the glove began at $5,000.
