Georgetown’s Martin Luther King, Jr. Day Celebration

This year signifies a season of being intentional in our efforts of working towards racial reconciliation/repair and injustice of all kinds. We are excited to host Rev. Dr. Dwight Webster of Oakland, CA. He is the co-founder of Justice & Beyond and the Senior Pastor of Historic Beth Eden Baptist Church. He is a very close friend of the King Family. We will host a “Meet & Greet” event at 3:30p. in the Student Lounge in the  Cralle Student Center on the campus of Georgetown College. Following, Dr. Webster will be heading our March at 4p. Beginning at the Cralle Student Center on College Street, to Military, to Main Street, to Broadway and back to College Street. Our MLK Program, where Dr. Webster will speak, will be held in John L. Hill Chapel on the campus of Georgetown College. Music will be provided by the Georgetown College Gospel Choir who will be accompanied by Mr. Chad Higgins, Minister of Music at Consolidated Baptist Church in Lexington, KY. A Reception will follow in the Basement of John Hill Chapel.
