Georgetown Police investigating a serious overnight crash
GEORGETOWN, Ky. (ABC36 NEWS NOW) – Georgetown Police are investigating a serious crash that sent two people to the hospital Tuesday night.
Officers were called to a three-car accident around 7:30 p.m. on I-75 northbound near mile marker 127. Police say traffic suddenly stopped, causing one driver to rear-end another — which then caused the struck vehicle to collide with a third car.
Two people were taken to the hospital — one with life-threatening injuries and another in critical condition. The scene has since been cleared, and all lanes of I-75 northbound have reopened.
The investigation into what caused the crash remains ongoing.
