Georgetown business forced to close after fire destroys building

GEORGETOWN, Ky. (WTVQ)- Business owners in Georgetown will be forced to shut their doors after it burned to the ground, Sunday.

Firefighters got the call around 9 a.m. for a fire at Clip and Curl, saying it had been burning for a long time when they got there. Crews say the log structure made it difficult to fight the fire and the building is a total loss.

The building that caught fire actually has two businesses. The other, Sergeant’s Galley was damaged, according to firefighters who also say no one was hurt and the cause is still under investigation.
