Investigators are still looking into the cause of an early morning fire that destroyed a Georgetown business. Around 4 a.m. Tuesday, the Fire Department responded to a fire in the 500 block of Bourbon Street. The building belonged to Georgetown Tool & Manufacturing and is located next to several homes and a church. When crews arrived they found the building engulfed in smoke. Inside they found heavy tools and equipment that were charred by the fire. No injuries were reported.
The business employs about 10 people. The owner says it will take several weeks to recover, but there are plans to move their operation into another section of the building.
