General Dynamics To Layoff 93 Workers In Corbin
General Dynamics will layoff 93-employees permanently at its Corbin facility on May 9th, according to a published report in the Corbin News Journal.
The newspaper reported that Corbin city officials were notified Friday in a letter from the company.
The facility currently employs about 385-workers.
The report said the job losses would be in the company’s Medicare and Medicaid call center.
The newspaper reported the layoffs were unexpected because the company just held a job fair in Corbin earlier this year and hired new employees in February.
