Garrard County man found dead in Herrington Lake

GARRARD COUNTY, Ky. (WTVQ) – A Garrard County man known for taking care of a local lake was found dead.

According to the Garrard County Coroner, Ralph Tudor, 79, of Garrard County was found dead in Herrington Lake.

Tudor’s body was found near Sunset Marina, which he was the previous owner of. He was found around 200 feet from his kayak, so it is possible that it overturned.

The cause of death is unknown and officials are waiting on his autopsy in Louisville. Foul play is not suspected.

In the community, he went by John Tudor, Sr. and was known for going out on his kayak almost every day and picking up garbage on the lake. The coroner said he had a following on Facebook.
