Garrard Co. McDonald’s worker diagnosed with Hep A

GARRARD COUNTY, Ky. (WTVQ)- The Garrard County Health Department says an employee at McDonald’s has been diagnosed with Hepatitis A. 

The department says anyone who ate there from December 5 to January 9 should get a Hepatitis A shot. The department says outbreaks from food or water are not common.

The employee is not currently working at the McDonald’s.

The franchise owner says the health and well-being of customers and employees is of highest concern.

“My organization is fully cooperating with the local health department to ensure the ongoing health and safety of all who visit our restaurant,” the owner said.
