Funeral set for victim in Lexington shooting

VANCEBURG, Ky. (WTVQ) – The funeral for a young man who was found shot in the head in Lexington will be held later this week in Vanceburg.

Investigators say 27-year-old Douglas “DeeJay” Jordan of was shot on East Maxwell last Thursday.

Police say he was walking with a woman when someone approached both of them and shot him.  Officers say Jordan was taken to UK hospital where he died the  next day.

A public service will be held in Vanceburg in the Lewis Co. High School auditorium on Thursday.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., with the funeral following shortly after.
