Funeral Friday for Clark County student hit, killed by school bus

WINCHESTER, Ky. (ABC36 NEWS NOW) – The funeral for 15-year-old McKenna Letcher, a George Rogers Clark High School student who tragically died after being hit by a school bus, is scheduled for Friday.

The service will take place at 1 p.m. in the Leon Pace Memorial Chapel at Scobee Funeral Home. According to the Clark County Coroner, McKenna died Tuesday morning after being struck by a bus on Veterans Memorial Parkway, near the intersection of Ironworks Road.

McKenna was a freshman at George Rogers Clark High School, and her death has deeply impacted the local community. The investigation into the accident is ongoing.
