Funeral arrangements set for firefighter

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (AP) — Funeral arrangements have been finalized for a central Kentucky firefighter who died a month after being injured in an "ice bucket challenge" when a power line shocked him and another man.

Campbellsville Fire Capt. Tony Grider died Saturday after being injured on Aug. 21 when he and 22-year-old firefighter Simon Quinn dumped water on Campbellsville University’s marching band in a charity stunt to raise awareness for the disease ALS. They were on the fire truck’s ladder when it got too close to a high-voltage power line that energized it.

Media report a visitation will be held Tuesday at Columbia Christian Church and the funeral will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. at the church.

Quinn was released from the hospital Sept. 15.
