Funeral arrangements announced for Capt. Sam Manley
RICHMOND, Ky. (WTVQ) — Funeral arrangements have been announced for Madison County Sheriff’s Office Capt. Sam Manley.
Visitation will be Monday, Dec. 18 from 5 to 8 p.m. at Church on the Rock in Berea.
Funeral services will be on Tuesday, Dec. 19 at noon, also at Church on the Rock.
Burial will follow, at the Madison County Memorial Garden.
The sheriff’s office will serve as Honor guard and pallbearers alongside family.
Manley died suddenly on Dec. 12 at Baptist Health in Richmond. He was 71.
He served in law enforcement for 36 years and retired from the Richmond Police Department in 2005 after achieving the rank of assistant chief.
In addition to his many years in law enforcement, he served in the U.S. Army Reserves for 26 years as a drill instructor with the 100th division before retiring in 1998 as a first sergeant.
