Fugitive wanted for rape and child molestation in Louisiana arrested in Kentucky
GRAYSON COUNTY, Ky. (ABC36 NEWS NOW) — A man wanted in Louisiana on serious sex crime charges has been arrested in Kentucky, according to the Grayson County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies say 45-year-old Juan Chavez-Trevizo was taken into custody Wednesday at a home on Cave Mill Road in Leitchfield. He was wanted out of Louisiana on charges of rape and child molestation.
Authorities also say Chavez-Trevizo is originally from Mexico and is in the United States illegally. Two other individuals were also taken into custody during the arrest, though their names and charges have not yet been released.
The investigation is ongoing and may involve coordination with federal immigration authorities.
