Fuel storage tanks explode at gas station in Ashland
ASHLAND, Ky. (WTVQ) – A small explosion in Ashland left a hole in the ground at a gas station Monday.
Ashland Police say fuel storage tanks blew up at a Sunoco station at 22nd Street and Winchester Avenue. No one was hurt.
The Ashland Independent reports the tanks were underground.
Firefighters put out the fire and used foam to coat the ground.
The cause of the explosion is under investigation.
