French Cheese

Hi, I’m Charles Duke, and here we are with the Cheeses of Europe campaign, talking to you about creating the perfect cheeseboard for the holidays.

You want to choose a nice board, maybe wood, slate, marble. It really depends on what you have available and what you like and what goes with your décor. Here we chose five different cheeses. You can choose five, seven, et cetera, and we chose a wonderful Triple Creme, which is a nice bloomy rind cheese. We have a Camembert from Normandy, a Conte, which is a big 88-pound wheel, which we cut into sticks, and this is from Eastern France. Epoisses, which is one of the stinky cheeses, and we finish off with a Fourme d’Ambert, which is a wonderful bleu cheese from Auvergne, which is in Central France.

You want to pair these with different wines, different ciders, really things that appeal to your guests. And if you need more information on this, please visit cheesesofeurope.com. You could also download our handy app, which explains how to pair them, and also how to pronounce the different names of the cheese.
