Free Christmas Store for Low-Income Families
For the past 19 years the Catholic Action Center has organized the Faith and Family Community Christmas Store where low-income families can shop, for free.
This year, for the second time, it is at Southland Christian Church on Richmond Road in Lexington.
The store will be held Dec. 17-19 from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Volunteers and donations are still needed. To volunteer click here.
Families are asked to clean out their closets and donate gently used, pre-loved toys, books, and games to share with children in need in our community.
More than 18,000 children were shopped for at last year’s Faith & Community Christmas Store.
All donations are tax deductible.
The Catholic Action Center said regardless of circumstances, parents can come to Southland Christian Church to get a ticket with a shopping time.
Parents can shop for up to four kids with a personal shopping guide.
Donations can be dropped off at Southland Christian Church or at the PODS and Hippo Crates around town.
Gifts for teenagers are greatly needed.
