Frazier History Museum plans bourbon exhibit
LOUISVILLE, Ky. (AP) — The Frazier History Museum in Louisville is planning to develop an expanded bourbon history exhibit and experience.
The museum is working with the Kentucky Distillers’ Association on the project. The museum says its initial plans call for bourbon-related exhibits and visitor experiences that focus on the history and cultural developments of one of Kentucky’s signature industries.
Museum officials say consideration of an expanded bourbon presence at the museum began nearly a year ago, when the Frazier and the KDA partnered on a bourbon history exhibit. That exhibit included the actual congressional resolution declaring bourbon to be America’s native spirit.
KDA President Eric Gregory says the planned bourbon exhibit at the Frazier comes at a time when bourbon is becoming a big part of downtown Louisville, including a revitalized Whisky Row.
