Franklin County teacher arrested at school, charged with alcohol intoxication

FRANKLIN COUNTY, Ky. (WTVQ) – Franklin County authorities say an elementary school teacher was taken into custody at school for being under the influence.

Tamatha Bradley was arrested Friday morning at Collins Lane Elementary School and charged with alcohol intoxication and resisting arrest.

According to an arrest citation, a school resource officer says school staff reported Bradley smelled like alcohol.

Deputies were called to the school and say Bradley smelled of alcohol, was unsteady on her feet while standing, could not answer questions and repeated random incoherent sentences.

The arrest citation says Bradley refused a sobriety and breath test and when a deputy tried to put handcuffs on her, she pulled away saying, “This is not happening. I am not going.”

Court records show Bradley was also arrested in October 2016 for driving under the influence and leaving the scene of an accident.

She pleaded guilty and was ordered to complete an alcohol driver education program.
