Franklin County Schools moving to NTI next week to slow spread of COVID-19
FRANKFORT, Ky. (WTVQ) – Franklin County Public Schools will move to Non-Traditional Instruction (NTI) next week to try to help slow the spread of COVID-19.
Superintendent Mark Kopp and Assistant Superintendent Sharla Six made the video announcement on the district’s Facebook page on Thursday.
Supt. Kopp says there are 89 positive coronavirus cases in the school district and 656 students are in quarantine.
The NTI days will be Aug. 30 through Sept. 3, 2021.
After-school programs will be available for childcare purposes and sports activities will continue as long as proper mitigation strategies are implemented and followed, according to the district.
The district plans to have students back in class for in-person instruction on Tuesday, Sept. 7, 2021.
